There's More Than Fun To Games- A developmental workshop supporting the benefits of play.
The benefits of play for a mind under construction are endless. A variety of tools will be presented, along with suggested activities and games, which support healthy child development from infancy through early elementary school. Having children gain cognitive, socio-emotional and physical benefits from play is a win-win situation. Our customized workshops are tailored to provide both working parents and professional educators the tools needed to promote healthy child development through play. While the best programs in early education provide a strong basis for teachers to teach and design engaging curriculum for children, our focus is solely on the socio-emotional, physical and cognitive growth of a child. Our workshops use best practices from Harvard Development Center, Teachers College - Columbia University, and the most current child research available.
* Corporate Wellness Programs Many employees in today's world have the dual role of parent and working professional. This work-life balance can be stressful as it is often accompanied with pressure to be the perfect parent. This workshop is provided as a service to valued employees with young families to highlight the positive impact play can have on their child's healthy development. We incorporate the importance of "serve and return" interactions as well as tools for choosing the best early learning environment for your family's needs. This program is approximately 45 minutes.
